UCLA [Family Session]

Saturday, November 26th, 2011

I met Michi through the UCLA Biomedical library and had the opportunity to meet her parents on a couple of occasions. I’ve been inspired by her family unit and the fun they have together. Michi’s parents are so supportive of Michi and of all her endeavors. I was inspired when I found out her and her mother were planning on going skydiving together! I hope when my girls are older they’ll want to spend time with me and have adventures together.

A walk in the park [Family Session]

I was so excited when Gil called me about photos. He had been referred to my website from a friend of his. Coincidentally, we had actually already crossed paths and exchange e-mails almost every quarter since I process his course reserves requests at the UCLA Biomedical Library! I knew exactly who he was because the articles he uses for his courses always sound so interesting and stand out to me. I always think to myself… if I were a grad student  in public health, I’d totally take this class!

It was fun to meet up with Gil and his beautiful family. I finally go to put a face with a name all the e-mails!

Lily: UCLA Grad Session

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

As I drove to UCLA I was a bit nervous. Were those clouds dark enough to produce rain? Should I call Lily and reschedule? What if it starts to rain mid-session? I decided to press on and am SO glad I did! It was actually nice to shoot when it was little overcast that harsh summer sun was diffused and we were able to go where we wanted. I never thought I’d have an affinity toward another UC campus since I did my undergrad at UC Santa Barbara, but I’m starting to realize that UCLA has wiggled its way into my affection. It’s a beautiful campus and we took advantage of the Italian Romanesque Revival style of Royce & Powell (I wish I was well versed in architecture but I totally looked that up) and made our way down Bruinwalk.

The sky may have been a bit overcast, but Lily’s laugh and smile completely light up an environment! I had such a great time getting to know Lily and I wish her the best as she pursues her future endeavors!
