Some times I do. Some times I don’t…

Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe that Brent and I have two daughters. I feel fortunate that Amara is such an easy going baby. I took her to the pediatrician and she has ear infections in both ears, yet she is in pretty good spirits. She has a pretty terrible cough which only really bothers her at night. Ironically, some of the most relaxed quiet time I’ve had lately was yesterday being at home with a sick 4.5 month old baby. I suppose that’s the nature of having two kids and working full time.

I thought I’d take a moment to take document Amara. Here and now as a cuddly  happy 4.5 month old. It really goes by way too fast. My friend Skye and I lamented on the phone the other day how we’re scared to have teenagers. It’s really just around the corner!

I can still picture Aya around this age and it blows me away that now she’s a 3 year old going on 30. The other day I asked her if she liked to cook (since she helped with dinner)…and her response?

“Some times I do… some times I don’t.”

I wish I had a recording of her voice too as she said it. How profound. That pretty much sums up how I feel about a lot of things. Do I always take the time to take photos of the girls? Some times I do… some times I don’t. Here’s a couple of Amara from yesterday and some collages I was messing around with. She makes my  heart skip a beat. In a good way. Not a I-should-get-that-checked-out-by-a-doctor-way.
