Joovy Caboose Ultralight 2010 [Review]: Makes Me HAPPY

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

We got a new stroller. It took me a while to see the value in a stroller for two kids since Aya is pretty much always wanting to run around. BUT now I get it. I thought I’d share my take on the 2010 Joovy Caboose Ultralight. This review is strictly my opinion on the stroller. I’m not sure how, but this is our 5th stroller. That’s embarassing considering we live in a two bedroom apartment. Yikes. I jsut remembered the one we have disassembled in the closet that doubles as a stroller/bike carriage. So here’s my take on our 6th stroller.

What makes me happy about this stroller…

  • The seat reclines far enough back that if someone wants to take a nap in it and then get rolled into the house, she could.
  • Easy to collapse and open (but it does take two hands).
  • Light enough for me to actually want to take it everywhere.
  • Smooth ride (not that I’ve sat it in it myself, but their teeth aren’t chattering as we walk and talk).
  • Fun for Aya to have  a seat and face me and we can chit chat face to face.
  • Pro [for me] is that both girls are close by and in one space. Con [for Amara] is that Aya is close by and in her space.
  • Enough pockets and space for me to throw in my cell phone, a few water bottles, a sippy cup, a pair of sandles for Aya, my keys, my oversized wallet, a carton of tomatoes, a bag of green beans, a bag of sweet peas, grapes and zuchinni (from the farmer’s market). Also I can hang four bags from the market!

What’s not so great

  • The stroller handle seems like it could be more ergonomic or adjustable. Brent and I are such different heights that it’s nice to have the option.
  • The cup holder isn’t so great for a iced coffee drink where the lid can pop off.

And of course, some photos!

If you’re throwing a birthday party with a Hawaiian Luau theme, this is the perfect banner. Wait until you see the invites that go along with this. A while back I blogged about my friend Judith who makes these amazingly crafty goodies. She is inspiring and actually her work has inspired a few of my own ideas that I will hopefully be sharing soon. Recently I took some product photos for her and I’m excited to share them. I love the fun creative cards/banners/cake toppers/martini stirrers that this girl comes up with! Stay tuned for more!

EMTsweeetie Wedding Invitations l Promo

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

I’ve been really excited to share this shoot! My friend Judith is one of the craftiest girls I know. She outlets her creative energy in the form of  hand crafted cards/invitations/decorations/etc. She is the the one who introduced me into the world of Etsy! She has expanded her cards to include wedding invitations and I was thrilled when she wanted me to take some photos for her products. Judith told me about her idea of displaying her cards using a couple models and some fun locations. We’re lucky enough to have Teodora and Grace who are such great girls and product models! They were good sports and made this such a fun session.

FYI, if you’re in need of creative cards for any occasion, Judith really is an amazing creative. Please check out her blog and Etsy site and send some love her way!

There were so many that I loved from this session. I had a hard time choosing so I’m just going to post them and let them speak for  themselves!
